Guilford County announced today the launch of its new, interactive online portal called enCode, offering 24/7 public access to plans, codes, manuals, ordinances, and practical development tools.
The new website is designed to give users internet access to an organized, easy-to-navigate platform that allows them to explore local legislative policy and related materials with the click of a button.
What makes this portal so useful to Guilford County citizens is that it merges the code back into one location for ease of access for all the county’s ordinances.
Fully integrated, the new platform gives users one-click access to the County Code of Ordinances, Area Plans, the County Comprehensive Plan and updates, the new Unified Development Ordiance (UDO), and the archive Land Development Ordinance.
The new platform also includes development tools like landscaping/screening and parking calculators which deliver real-time data and project specs.
“The launch of the enCodeplus portal creates a new user-friendly, integrated platform that makes it easy to navigate the County’s recently-completed Unified Development Ordinance and enhances the ease of doing business in Guilford County,” said J. Leslie Bell, Guilford County Planning Director.
The multi-functional website was built on the enCodePlus technology platform, which supports efficient administrative collaboration and allows local governments to streamline internal planning and zoning processes. It also delivers powerful, integrated research and communication features to support public officials, developers, business owners, and citizens.
